HC Government Realty Trust, Inc. Announces the Acquisition of a Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Owensboro, Kentucky

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – HCGRT is pleased to announce the acquisition of an 11,500 square-foot newly constructed facility for a Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) located in Owensboro, Kentucky. The new facility is leased to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and provides additional exam room space to meet the needs of a growing patient base. The clinic offers primary care and specialty health services including dermatology and mental health care. The lease commenced in September 2022 with a total lease term of 20 years.
HCGRT Chief Operating Officer John W. Braswell added the following statement to today’s announcement:
“The addition to our portfolio of this VA CBOC in Q4 of 2022 represents our first property in the State of Kentucky. This transaction not only reinforces our dedication to adding long lease term assets to our portfolio, but also underscores our belief in the value of mission critical facilities operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs. This brand-new facility will serve the veterans within the Northwest Region of Kentucky for many years to come, and we are proud to be a part of this service.”
HCGRT’s real estate portfolio currently includes 33 properties representing approximately 628,000 rentable square feet across 12 different agencies located in 22 states.
